Call centers who used to rely solely upon affiliate programs and clients to get a meagre wage are mostly shifting to acquiring merchant accounts.
Where did the trend start and who started It?
The trend was started in Delhi. Yes ! You heard me right.
Delhi is the mother of the BPO outburst followed by Bangalore,Hyderabad,Mumbai and then Kolkata. Call Centers in Delhi started out with the first venture way back in the year 2004.
Bpo's have come a long long way in these 5 years. Most centers back then weren't even aware of something like this. How easy this could have been. Nobody even cared to think about it.
They were satisfied and content with whatever little they had.
But Delhi brought about a revolution and showed the way so as to how the things were to be done. From an average revenue of a couple of Thousand Dollars they catapaulted themselves to revenue streams never imagined earlier. Hence,giving themselves the liberty to expand,grow and improve their quality of life.
